  1. First of all, I think the use of ICTs in the classroom usually enhances learning, as it motivates students. So, although it is a challenge, we teachers should make use of technology tools in order to involve students into active learning (I mean learning, and then creating, applying, sharing/showing). Moreover, it's certain that most students are familiar with ICTs, but not all of them are, which means we can encourage them to discover new ways of learning, and work collaboratively. Maia.

  3. I agree with Maia. I believe that the use of ICTs in the classroom will help our students to develop different skills. Furthermore, using ICT as a tool for learning enables students to: access digital information, produce creative solutions to support learning, communicate and to develop new thinking and learning skills.

  4. I've watched the video Ken Robinson: "Changing Paradigms" and it's just great how a conference is animated in such a great way. Still, I think improving education through technological tools is a challenge we shouldn't face alone. I believe it's important to talk to other teachers and work together.

  5. I think that ICTs are a powerful tool for extending educational opportunities. It motivates students to find out information and to gain new knowledge in several ways. As a result, they can process and share knowledge about what they have learned. However, I think ICTs are a demanding task in which everyone, teachers and students, should be prepared to face all the challenges that it can bring.

    1. In my opinion, the use of technology in the classroom will help students to improve their communicative competences, since today the concep of this term is linked to the ability for using and managing the new technological devices. Morover, the use of technology in the classroom is an important tool for teachers. It will improve the quality of lessons and will encourage students in their learning processes. Gabriela López.

  7. No doubt the ICTs came to change our lives, but not to complicate them, but to make them easier. Once we start using them, we see how we save time, and how everything we do is just better. Students know it, cause since they were born they've been inmersed in a technological environment.

Nowadays, I see a real challenge not in incorporating ICTs in the classroom where students have free access to it (with those students I feel a pedagogical challenge)... These days I'm really concerned about those students who don't have access to the internet because they don't have a computer at home, or can't go to a cyber just to surf the net.
Those students are really missing part of this tech phenomenon, and I feel the need, and I strongly believe it's our role to democratize the access to the ICT, to narrow the gap between those who can or those cannot be part of the ICT experience.
